Recruitment

Joining a fraternity or sorority can be a very rewarding experience. With all different types of chapters it is often difficult to decide which is best for you. Here is some information that may be helpful to you:

National Panhellenic Council (NPC) Sororities recruit one to two times during the academic year. In the Fall there is a“formal recruitment” period which is sponsored and organized by Panhellenic. At other times during the year, chapters may recruit on their own to fill membership rosters. This is sometimes known as "informal recruitment" or "continuous open recruitment." For more information on Panhellenic Recruitment, check out the Panhellenic Recruitment site.

Fraternities recognized by the Interfraternity Council, or IFC, also recruit two times during the academic year, at the start of the fall and spring semesters. Fraternity RUSH schedules are available at the IFC Recruitment Site.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) fraternities and sororities usually have at least 1 intake process during the academic year. Interested students are encouraged to contact these chapters directly to find out more about the intake process and attend events these chapters are hosting to find out more about the organizations.

Culturally based chapters recruit on a semesterly basis and do so on their own schedule. Please contact them directly for more information.
